Accelerate Influencer Vetting: Unwrapping Basic Reports

Social media platforms constantly evolve, introducing new features and updating their algorithms. Consumer habits and preferences change due to new trends and social and economic circumstances. Furthermore, the influencer landscape is extremely dynamic. Consequently, brands and agencies must rely heavily on their data throughout the influencer marketing process if they wish to be successful.

Creators appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. Who seemed like an ideal partner a few months ago may not be suitable today. One mismatched social media celebrity can erode your credibility, damage your reputation, and cause financial loss. Making swift and informed decisions can be the difference between a campaign’s downfall or success.

It is for this reason that we designed our new Basic Reports, a feature enabling you to quickly pre-assess influencers based on their ER, average performance metrics, account growth, estimated reach, and price ranges without unlocking advanced reports and using your credits.

Ready to learn more about it? Then, read our article and find out how basic reports can rev your influencer vetting and selection process.

What Is the Basic Report?

Let us introduce you to our new feature called Basic Report. It contains essential data that brands need to decide whether they want to collaborate with an influencer without unlocking an advanced report.

Here’s what you can access in Basic Reports for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok content creators:

  • bio or about page,

  • follower/subscriber count,

  • contact data (if provided),

  • content categories,

  • influencer’s location,

  • audience location.

As for performance-specific details, an Instagram basic report includes:

  • ER,

  • estimated reach for posts and stories,

  • average likes,

  • average comments,

  • average views,

  • average posts per week,

  • account growth rate,

  • CPE estimates,

  • estimated post price,

  • weekly brand mentions in the past 180 days.

YouTube creators’ basic report displays:

  • videos ER,

  • shorts ER

  • videos average views,

  • shorts average views,

  • channel growth rate,

  • estimated integration price,

  • CPM,

  • weekly brand mentions over the past 90 days.

TikTok basic reports showcase:

  • ER,

  • average views,

  • account growth rate,

  • estimated integration price,

  • CPM,

  • weekly brand mentions in the past 180 days.

Apart from the numbers, we provide you with additional information on the number of issues we detected during our account quality analysis. We benchmark the influencer’s reach and ER to similar-sized accounts and let you know if it performs better or worse than the average.

We share the reasons behind creators’ price estimates. For example, if the influencer’s location is in the USA that can increase the prices. Brands may negotiate a lower price if our evaluation indicates that the audience authenticity is questionable or the creator's engagement rate is lower than average.

Who Can Benefit from Them?

Anyone who is planning to team up with influencers will find the reports useful. They make it easier for businesses, agencies, and marketers to decide whether a content creator is a good fit for their campaigns and goals. Here are some of the situations when the reports come in handy:

  • Use the reports if you already have a library of potential creators and want to double-check them.

  • Brands and agencies that plan to launch a campaign can shortlist an extended database of influencers.

  • Marketers who have an idea whom they want to work with but want to make sure they suit their campaign prerequisites.

Subscribed users can check unlimited basic reports each month, while free users get access to 10 basic reports per month.

How Can a Basic Report Help Brands in Influencer Vetting?

  1. Brands can find out if the influencer’s reach is below the average or above. Reach is key if a brand wants to increase visibility or awareness across social media platforms. Make sure the estimated reach is at least good. Even better if it is marked as very good, or excellent.

  2. Businesses can evaluate the engagement rate and performance metrics and eliminate creators with low ER and poor performance. An overview of average likes, comments, and views serves as an aid in figuring out the level of interaction the content can generate and the overall impact of the campaign. If driving engagement is your primary goal, then select influencers whose ER is between the good and excellent range.

  3. By examining the account growth graph, brands can uncover any suspicious tendencies, such as abrupt spikes and unusual drops. These can signify that the creator used fishy methods to gain followers. A quality audience is key to an effective campaign and financial success.

  4. Besides reaching its goals, every company wants a decent return on investments. We estimate a price range for Instagram posts, TikTok, and YouTube videos, along with CPE and CPM. Rate estimates enable brands to calculate their costs and ROI and predict whether the collaboration will be financially successful or not.

We list some of the elements that affect the creator’s fees, such as the influencer’s location, audience authenticity, ER, and advertising post frequency.

  5. Finally, check the influencer’s promotion frequency. If you select an influencer who has too many brand mentions, you risk your brand’s endorsement being buried in the noise. Frequent mentions cause ad fatigue among the audience and suggest that the creator prioritizes sponsored content over organic. Try to look for influencers with optimal mentions.
